PHP Developer Resume
A PHP resume is read for the applications you built and kept running: the framework, the database behind it, and what changed when you shipped. Here is what to include at each stage.

PHP Developer resume examples by experience
A summary line and three bullets for each stage. The people and companies are fictional; the shape is what to copy: what you built, with which stack, and what changed.

Common mistakes on php developer resumes
- Writing "PHP" alone without the framework and version: postings filter on Laravel, Symfony and PHP 8.
- Listing WordPress theme edits as development work without saying what you built.
- No database detail, when most PHP work is shaped by MySQL queries and schema design.
- Leaving out testing; PHPUnit on a resume answers a question interviewers will ask anyway.
Lay it out in an ATS-friendly resume format. If you are applying for your first job, the resume guide for freshers covers section order and projects.
Questions
- What skills should a PHP developer put on a resume?
- PHP with the version you use, a framework such as Laravel or Symfony, MySQL or PostgreSQL with SQL, REST APIs, Composer, PHPUnit, Git, and basic HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Add Docker, Redis or a cloud only if you have used them.
- How does a PHP fresher write a resume?
- Lead with one or two deployed PHP projects built on a framework, with login, a database and tests. Say what the application does, your part in it, and link the code.
- How do I write a PHP developer resume with 2 or 3 years of experience?
- Put experience first. For each role, name the application and modules you built, the framework and database, and a result such as a faster page, a removed manual process or a feature shipped.
- Should a PHP developer list WordPress?
- Yes if the job mentions it and you built themes or plugins with custom PHP. Say what you built, not only that you used WordPress.
- How do I check my php developer resume against a job description?
- Paste your resume and the job description into the free ATS resume checker. It shows which technical keywords from the posting your resume has and which are missing. No login, and nothing is uploaded.
