DevOps Engineer resume examples by experience
A summary line and three bullets for each stage. The people and companies are fictional; the shape is what to copy: what you built, with which stack, and what changed.

Common mistakes on devops engineer resumes

- Leaving out Linux and scripting, which most DevOps interviews test.
- Not naming the cloud and the services you used.
- Certifications listed above real hands-on work.
Lay it out in an ATS-friendly resume format. If you are applying for your first job, the resume guide for freshers covers section order and projects.
Questions
- What skills should a DevOps engineer put on a resume?
- A cloud (AWS, Azure or GCP) with the services you used, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform or Ansible, a CI/CD tool, Linux and Bash, and monitoring. Show each one through something you automated.
- How does a DevOps fresher write a resume?
- Lead with a complete project: a pipeline that builds, tests and deploys an app to the cloud, with infrastructure as code and monitoring. Link the repository.
- Do certifications matter on a DevOps resume?
- They help, especially for freshers, but list them below projects and experience. Interviews test what you have actually built.
- Should I include scripting languages?
- Yes. Bash and Python for automation are expected in most DevOps roles.
- How do I check my devops engineer resume against a job description?
- Paste your resume and the job description into the free ATS resume checker. It shows which technical keywords from the posting your resume has and which are missing. No login, and nothing is uploaded.
