Android Developer resume examples by experience
A summary line and three bullets for each stage. The people and companies are fictional; the shape is what to copy: what you built, with which stack, and what changed.

SUMMARY
Graduate Android developer who built and published a Kotlin app with Jetpack Compose and MVVM.
BULLETS
- Built and published an expense tracker on the Play Store in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, with Room for offline storage.

Android Developer resume: 3 years of experience
SUMMARY
Android developer with 3 years building a consumer app in Kotlin, Compose and MVVM.
BULLETS
- Rebuilt the checkout flow in Jetpack Compose, reducing crash rate on that screen to near zero.
- Added offline support with Room and WorkManager sync, so orders survive network drops.
- Cut cold-start time by 40% by deferring SDK initialisation and using baseline profiles.
Android Developer resume: 5 years of experience
SUMMARY
Senior Android engineer with 5 years leading architecture and release quality for apps with large user bases.
BULLETS
- Led the modularisation of the app into feature modules, cutting build times for the team.
- Defined the Compose design system and migration plan from XML views.
- Owned release quality: staged rollouts, crash monitoring and rollback criteria.
Common mistakes on android developer resumes
- No Play Store or GitHub links. Recruiters want to see the app.
- Listing Java only when the role asks for Kotlin.
- Leaving out architecture (MVVM, Jetpack), which interviews ask about.
- No numbers: installs, ratings, crash rate or startup time.
Lay it out in an ATS-friendly resume format. If you are applying for your first job, the resume guide for freshers covers section order and projects.
Questions
- What skills should an Android developer put on a resume?
- Kotlin (and Java if used), Jetpack Compose or XML layouts, MVVM with Jetpack libraries, Retrofit, Room, dependency injection (Hilt), testing and Play Store release experience.
- How does an Android fresher write a resume?
- Publish at least one app and link it, along with the code. Describe the architecture and what makes the app work offline or handle errors.
- Kotlin or Java on an Android resume?
- List Kotlin first if you use it; most new Android work is in Kotlin. Keep Java if you have maintained Java code.
- Should I add Flutter or React Native?
- Only if you have shipped with them, and only after your native Android skills for a native Android role.
- How do I check my android developer resume against a job description?
- Paste your resume and the job description into the free ATS resume checker. It shows which technical keywords from the posting your resume has and which are missing. No login, and nothing is uploaded.
